The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has blamed commercial banks for the delay in the payment of the corps members’ June allowance.
Responding to protests over the delay, the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Eddy Megwa, said since June 27 the Corps had made all the necessary preparations for the payment to take place as scheduled.

According to him, the corps management is liaising with banks to process the payments.
Mr Megwa enjoined corp members to remain calm, law-abiding and dutiful in their respective places of national service as the scheme will continue to treat issues relating to their welfare with utmost priority.
