The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has sacked the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, and declared Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), as the authentic winner of the March 18, 2023 speakership election in the state.

Daily Trust reports that there had been a battle between the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Balarabe-Abdullahi, who is representing Umaisha Ugya constituency in the state assembly and, Daniel Ogah Ogazi, representing Kokona East constituency over the speakership tussle, which led to the emergence of two speakers.
