The Nigerian Army’s 81 Division has apprehended nine individuals masquerading as soldiers and engaging in criminal activities in Lagos.
In a statement, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Olabisi Ayeni, says the suspects were involved in various offenses, including performing illegal duties, providing unauthorized security services, and offering illegal escort services while wearing military uniforms.

Lieutenant Colonel Ayeni also says the suspects will be handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law.
The General Officer Commanding 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Mohammed Takuti Usman, urged law-abiding citizens in Lagos and Ogun States to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
