Qatar’s permanent representative to the UN, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, says her country will continue to work towards diplomacy to promote regional stability as the war on Gaza rages on.
In a statement to the Qatar News Agency, she said Qatar’s UN mission will coordinate with the relevant agencies to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

While underscoring Qatar’s warning that suspending UNWRA’s funding will negatively affect its work and its capabilities to respond to the urgent needs of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, Sheikha Alya said Qatar has increased its funding to the UN agency.
