Bandits kill four Police officers in Zamfara

The police have confirmed that bandits killed four of its officers along Gusau-Bungudu road in Zamfara State.

This was confirmed by the Zamfara State Police Command Spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, who said the policemen were ambushed by terrorists while on a stop-and-search Patrol.

ASP Abubakar described the incident as tragic, but said it would not deter the command in its renewed commitment to achieving lasting peace in the state.

Three of the slain Policemen were officers of the Command, while the fourth was a constabulary.

It was gathered that the terrorists also killed one person in Tagero village in the Furfuri area of Bungudu Local Government in Zamfara.
