Bandits have displaced 10 communities in Kidandan area under Giwa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.
Giwa is one of the LGAs that has been badly hit in the ongoing wave of insecurity in the North West.
Daily Trust reports that some of the residents were forced to relocate to Kidandan main town and other safer communities in the LGA. The affected villages include Tunburktu Hayin Dabino, Mugaba, Nasarawan Hayin Doka, Dokan Yuna, Doka, and Hayin Teacher.
The Councillor Representing Kidandan Ward, Abdullahi Ismail, confirmed the incident, lamenting that in the last three weeks, troops have been conducting operations around the area but still the bandits continue to terrorize some communities.
Another community leader, who preferred to remain anonymous, said villagers displaced left behind their foodstuffs and houses due to constant bandits intimidation and harassment.
He also said that soldiers operating in the area killed about six of the bandits on Tuesday.
