Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has dissolved the Governing Boards of all parastatals and agencies of Government in the state and ordered the removal of their Chief Executive Officers.
The sacked officials were directed to hand over all government property in their possession to the most senior officers in their respective establishments.
In a statement he issued in Makurdi, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Tersoo Kula says the decision was taken during an emergency stakeholders meeting presided over by the Governor at Government House.

Mr. Kula says briefs were received from Finance and Security officers at the meeting.
He noted that though the full State Executive Council is yet to be constituted, five key appointments have been made including Secretary to the State Government; Head of Service and Chief of Staff.
Mr. Kula also added that the Governor will proclaim the 10th Benue State House of Assembly on June 5, 2023.
