Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, is in contention for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award.
This is according to Completesports.com. The Nigeria international enjoyed a successful debut campaign for Bayer Leverkusen.
He won the Rookie award for four consecutive months earlier in the campaign, and he also won the Bundesliga Player of the Month once.
The forward has already been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.

Borussia Dortmund’s Ian Maatsen, Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim forward, Maximilian Beier, are also in the running for the award.
Boniface has scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season. His club, Bayer Leverkusen, won the Bundesliga title for the first time in their history and they are also closing in on the UEFA Europa League and the German Cup.
Bayer Leverkusen, coached by Xabi Alonso, are unbeaten in 50 games across all competitions in the current campaign.
