Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ Tour Becomes Highest-Grossing by African Artiste

Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them…’ world tour has been reported as the highest-grossing concert tour by an African artiste, earning 30.5 million dollars from more than 302,000 tickets sold across 22 shows. The figures were released on Monday by the analytics platform Tourist Data.

According to the data, the tour recorded major success in both Europe and North America, generating 15.27 million dollars from European shows and 15.19 million dollars from North America, with an overall ticket sale rate of more than 85 per cent.

A key highlight was Burna Boy’s performance at London Stadium on June 29, 2024, which attracted nearly 59,000 fans and grossed over 6.1 million dollars. The show was described as the most attended and highest-grossing single concert by an African artiste to date.

The ‘I Told Them…’ tour, named after Burna Boy’s seventh studio album, ran from November 2023 to March 2024. The milestone comes weeks after public debate surrounding an incident at one of his concerts in the United States, which drew widespread attention on social media.
