The Senate has confirmed Yemi Cardoso as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
While responding to questions asked by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, during his screening, Mr Cardoso assured that the CBN will not be hijacked under his stewardship.

Mr. Cardoso was confirmed along with four others who will serve as his deputies.
They are Mrs. Emem Nnana Usoro, Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Dattijo, Mr. Philip Ikeazor, and Dr. Bala M. Bello.
