The Presidential Election Petition Court, on Tuesday evening, admitted the Chicago State University educational documents of President Bola Tinubu and other documents as exhibits.
The president’s legal team opened its defence in the petition by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate.
The educational documents include President Tinubu’s admission letter to establish his attendance and graduation at the university.
The defence lead counsel, Mr. Wole Olanipekun (SAN) also tendered US visa documents, and documents of the Nigeria Immigration Service which cleared the President for trips indicating that he visited the US unhindered between 2011 and 2021.

The court also admitted a US Embassy letter dated April 4, 2003 where it claimed that it had no criminal records of President Tinubu in the USA.
The embassy letter was a response to an earlier letter from the Nigerian Police dated February 3, 2003.
The court resumes hearing the petition today.
