Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA and the Nigeria Police have arrested a bus driver for stabbing an officer who had apprehended him for a traffic offence around Costain Round-About in Surulere.
A LASTMA official said the bus was impounded and the driver apprehended for picking passengers on the main expressway, thereby obstructing traffic around Costain inward Iponrin.

There have been several warnings from the state government for drivers to use designated bus-stops to pick up or drop off passengers.
LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, says the suspected assailant will be prosecuted immediately to serve as a deterrent to other recalcitrant drivers.
