Dangote’s Wealth Rises to $34bn, Gains $216m in One Day

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has seen his net worth rise to 34 billion US dollars, according to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The increase reflects continued gains across his industrial holdings.

The billionaire recorded a daily gain of 216 million dollars, or 0.6 per cent, bringing his year-to-date wealth growth to 13.3 per cent. Bloomberg says the rise is driven by sustained investor confidence in his business empire.

Dangote’s wealth is anchored by major stakes in cement, oil refining and fertiliser production, including the Dangote Oil Refinery and Dangote Cement. The refinery, which began operations in 2024, is valued as one of its most significant assets.
