Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has dismissed claims that she is HIV positive, describing the rumour as false and malicious.
The controversy began after a video by content creator Olaoluwa Segun went viral, listing Amusa among five Nigerian actors allegedly living with the virus.

In a response posted on Instagram, the actress clarified that the claim was based on a misinterpretation of a 2019 post she made to raise awareness about HIV. She reaffirmed that she tested negative at the time and had shared her status as part of a public health campaign.
Amusa criticised the content creator for circulating unverified information and warned of legal consequences. She called the incident irresponsible and vowed to hold those behind the video accountable.
