The Commissioner of Police Delta State Command, CP Wale Abass, has presented cheques of N110 million naira to the families of deceased officers who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.
in a statement issued today, the spokesperson of the Delta State Command, DSP. Bright Edafe said that the money was from the welfare scheme of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun.
The Delta State CP Abass, while presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries, expressed his appreciation for the IGP’s generosity.
He stated that the cheques will help the families tremendously and serve as a reminder that even if their loved ones are no longer with them, the sacrifices they made can never be forgotten.

Abass also acknowledged the deep sense of concern of the Inspector General of Police, especially on the wellbeing of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.
He gave an assurance that the police is relentless in its welfare scheme for its personnel, and will not back down on the initiative.
Abass added that it will continue, especially for all deceased officers who sacrificed their lives fighting for the peace and progress of Nigeria as a country.
