A group of Democratic lawmakers has accused former President Donald Trump of using the FBI to intimidate critics after the agency reportedly sought interviews with those who urged military personnel to refuse unlawful commands. Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander and Chrissy Houlahan said the requests followed Trump branding them traitors for appearing in a video warning against illegal orders.
The FBI declined to comment, while the White House has yet to respond. The dispute comes as the US military considers a court-martial against Senator Mark Kelly, a decorated former astronaut who also featured in the video. Kelly said he would not be silenced by “bullies.” Senator Elissa Slotkin added that the inquiry appeared to stem directly from Trump’s displeasure with their message.
