DHQ To Court Martial Two Personnel Over Kaduna Airstrike

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, says two military personnel of the Nigerian Army are to face a court martial for acts of omission or commission over the airstrike that killed Tudun Biri residents in Kaduna State last year.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday during a media briefing on operations of the armed forces, he said he would not speak too kindly much about the incident as that would be prejudicial as the case is before a court martial.

On December 2nd 2023, many residents of Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State were commemorating Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) when they were killed in what the military called an “accidental airstrike” targeted at terrorists.
