The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is urging stakeholders in the state health insurance value chain to domesticate the 2022 National Health Insurance Authority Act.
Speaking at the maiden Lagos State Health Insurance Summit, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the support of all stakeholders will help the government guarantee essential healthcare services and improve quality of life.

The Governor also noted that the federal law makes health plans mandatory for all residents of Lagos, thereby reducing out-of-pocket expenses on health, and ameliorating the financial hardship caused by payment of huge medical bills.
He called for compliance with the provision of the Lagos State Health Scheme law and urged them to support, partner and cooperate with the Lagos State Health Management Agency.
