Vice President Kashim Shettima has restated the current administration’s commitment to reviving the Aluminium Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON).
According to a statement by Mr Olusola Abiola, Director of Information in the Office of the Vice President, the VP indicated this at a meeting with the Russian Aluminium Company (UC RUSAL) and other stakeholders on the sidelines of the ongoing Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting was in furtherance of efforts by the Federal Government to reactivate production lines at ALSCON by re-engaging with those involved.
