Veteran rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has denied targeting Seyi Tinubu in his latest single ‘Tell Your Papa’, insisting it was a response to the presidential son’s claim that his father is Nigeria’s best-ever leader.
The comment, made in Yola in March, prompted the rapper to urge the younger Tinubu, through music, to call on the President to address Nigeria’s economic and security crises.

In a televised interview monitored by Radio Now, the musician said young Nigerians were demanding essentials like electricity, safety, and jobs, not handouts.
The National Broadcasting Commission swiftly banned the song from radio and television, labelling it “inappropriate.”
The decision has drawn sharp criticism, with Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka condemning it as censorship and a threat to free expression.
Eedris Abdulkareem, known for his politically charged lyrics, remains defiant, maintaining that ‘Tell Your Papa’ simply reflects the mood of the nation.
