EFCC Declares Yahaya Bello Wanted Over Alleged N80.2b Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, wanted for alleged offences relating to financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 billion.

The Commission is calling on anyone with vital information about the former Kogi governor’s whereabouts to reach the EFCC or the police.

The ex-governor was absent yesterday at the Federal High Court in Abuja for a suit instituted against him by the EFCC.

Justice Emeka Nwite adjourned the suit to allow for substituted service and possible arraignment of Bello for alleged money laundering.

Reacting to the charges against the former governor, his media office labelled the whole matter as a desperate political witch-hunt of the immediate past Governor of Kogi State
