Federal Capital Territory Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike, says Samuel Anyanwu never ceased functioning as PDP National Secretary, dismissing claims that a directive was needed for his reinstatement.
Speaking at the commissioning of a new interchange bridge linking Wole Soyinka Way to Murtala Mohammed Expressway in Abuja, Mr. Wike said, Mr. Anyanwu does not need anyone to direct him to resume.
He also criticised internal party wrangling, remarking that money does not solve everything.

The PDP has faced a prolonged tussle over the secretary position, with both Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye claiming the role.
However, following consultations with INEC, Acting Chairman Umar Damagun confirmed Anyanwu’s reinstatement and announced a shift from the planned NEC meeting to an expanded caucus session on June 30.
The announcement was made at a press briefing attended by PDP leaders including Bala Mohammed and Bukola Saraki.
