The Federal Government has amended charges against former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami and his son, removing the terrorism financing allegation and replacing it with a charge of illegal possession of firearms.
The amendment was presented on Wednesday by DSS counsel Akinlolu Kehinde before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, who confirmed the defendants had been served and allowed the new charge to be read in court.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty, and the court upheld their existing bail conditions granted on February 27.

The case, which alleges that firearms and live cartridges were recovered from Malami’s residence in Birnin Kebbi, has been adjourned to May 26 and June 15 for trial.
