FG Targets Eight-Hour Power Supply To More MSMEs In 2024

The Federal Government says it is targeting a daily power supply of  eight hours to more Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country in 2024.

Speaking on a Channels TV programme, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, Mr. Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, said the present administration will work closely with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), a parastatal of the Federal Government.

He also said the REA will identify and provide solar powered-access to markets with clusters of small businesses, up to a thousand, to ensure that the MSMEs carry out their businesses daily.

Mr. Adekunle-Johnson noted that the immediate past administration did a test run in Ariaria Market in Aba, Abia State.
