The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, has urged leaders at every level in the country to lead by example.
The call comes following the outrage expressed by Nigerians over what some have called an “outlandish display of power” by President Bola Tinubu during a recent visit to Lagos.
In a statement last night, the Head of Obi-Datti Media Office, Mr Diran Onifade, referred to the 124-vehicle convoy that escorted the President, describing it as mindless and embarrassing exhibitionism.

He noted that even the military, known for their brash and unbridled display of raw naked power, never dared to exhibit what he called “such recklessness”.
Responding to a question on the development on Thursday afternoon in Anambra State, Mr. Obi said he had yet to see the video footage of the 124-vehicle convoy and noted that the present Nigeria requires that all those who serve and lead do so by example.
Some supporters of the president have argued that the convoy of some dignitaries, including Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was among the ones captured in the viral video.
