Forced Displacement Continues For Palestinians 76 Years After Nakba, Says UNRWA

The UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees, UNWRA, has drawn attention to the masses of Palestinians who have been displaced during Israel’s seven-month attacks on Gaza.

In a post on X, the agency says 600,000 Palestinians have fled Rafah since Israel intensified its military operations this month, and about 1.7 million have had to leave their homes and shelters since the hostilities began in October.

Nakba Day, which falls on May 15th each year, commemorates the violent displacement of more than 700,000 Palestinians from their lands as the State of Israel was founded.
