Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche [Shorn Die-ch] has confirmed that Nigeria internationals Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi will miss Saturday’s Premier League trip to Liverpool. Aina remains sidelined after undergoing hamstring surgery sustained during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa, while Awoniyi has now joined him in the treatment room after picking up a fresh injury.
Awoniyi had recently forced his way back into Dyche’s plans, making three straight appearances and impressing off the bench in Forest’s 3–1 win over Leeds United before the international break. Dyche described his impact as “terrific” but says the striker must now be assessed.
