He passed away on Wednesday evening at his residence in Lagos State, according to the General Secretary of the Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria, Adekunle Abiodun, who announced the death on Facebook.
Abiodun said the singer, described as the oldest active Fuji musician, died peacefully after a short illness. He added that the late artiste was buried on Thursday in accordance with Islamic rites.
