US President Donald Trump told reporters on Friday he expects clarity from Hamas within 24 hours, following Israel’s reported acceptance of a 60-day ceasefire framework intended to pave the way for ending the 20-month conflict.

Despite diplomatic efforts, Israeli airstrikes continued overnight, killing at least 15 people in southern Khan Younis, including children sheltering in tents.
Hamas is considering a phased deal involving the release of Israeli hostages—both living and deceased—in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
Key Hamas demands include unrestricted humanitarian access and guarantees that Israeli military operations will not resume after the ceasefire.
Mediators from Qatar and Egypt are expected to receive Hamas’s final decision once internal consultations conclude.
