Afrobeats star David Adeleke, aka Davido, has debunked rumours that he was arrested in East Africa where he was on tour on April 1.
Reacting to the news in a statement on his X handle on Tuesday, Davido said that contrary to the reports, he was not arrested, but had a successful tour in Uganda and Kenya and has now returned to Nigeria.

The musician, who says his lawyer is seeking legal recourse against the media parties responsible for generating what he called misinformation, also noted that he has never been arrested for any crime anywhere in the world.
