According to Mr. Yakubu, Lagos leads the registrations with over 7 million voters, followed by Kano with 5.9 million voters and Kaduna with 4.3 million.
The number of registered male voters surpasses female voters by about 4 million registrations, while 39.66 percent of the total figure is made up of young people between the ages of 18 and 34 years old.
The Commission announced that it has removed the names of all ineligible persons from the voters’ register after receiving more than 53,000 objections.
