The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has suspended its indefinite strike for 21 days.
The strike was on its 12th day when the union announced the suspension after its leadership held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu yesterday.
The Vice President of JOHESU, Mr. Obinna Ogbanna, says the decision was taken to give the government a 21-day window to address their demands.

During the meeting with the health workers, President Tinubu restated his administration’s resolve to reviving public confidence in Nigeria’s health sector.
According to a statement by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye, the President described the union’s work as one of commitment to humanity.
President Tinubu promised to resolve all identified problems plaguing the system for optimum performance.
