The Lagos State Government says the Mid-Level Agro Produce Hub at Idi-Oro in Mushin has traded food items valued at over 3 billion naira since it was commissioned in December 2023.
Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Abisola Olusanya, disclosed this during a ministerial press briefing to mark Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s sixth year in office. She described the hub as part of the state’s broader food system transformation agenda aimed at delivering affordable, hygienically processed food to residents.

Olusanya also announced that three additional Mid-Level Agro Produce Hubs are under construction in Agege, Abijo, and Opebi, with the overall strategy supported by a five-year agricultural roadmap and food security systems policy.
She said the state government’s investments — including the Lagos Cattle Transit Station and the Central Food Security Systems and Logistics Hub in Epe — are vital steps toward meeting the food needs of a growing population projected to reach 24 million by 2030.
