Lagos Taskforce Impounds Fresh 497 Motorcycles

The Lagos State Taskforce on Environment and Special Offences Enforcement Unit says it has seized 497 more commercial motorcycles for allegedly contravening traffic laws in the state.

In a statement made available to the press, the agency’s spokesperson, Mr Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, said the latest operations covered areas such as Doyin Bus Stop, on Orile/Iganmu Road, Alakija, Iyana Iba, Igbo-Elerin, Festac Link Bridge and Igando.

According to him, the activities of commercial motorcyclists, especially along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, are reckless due to the nonchalant attitude of the riders on the axis.

He reiterated the importance of compliance with traffic regulations and warned riders to desist from operating on restricted routes immediately.
