Lagos To Divert Traffic At Island-Iyana Oworo Bound Carriageway

The Lagos Government says the Island-Iyana Oworo bound lane on the Third Mainland Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 12:00 am on Wednesday 6th till 12:00 noon on Thursday 7th March, 2024. The closure will last 36 hours.

Announcing the diversion in a statement on Tuesday, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said motorists plying this route are advised to use the alternative routes previously provided during this period.

Thanking Lagosians for their continuous patience and understanding, the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi further appealed for a continued cooperation with the Traffic Management Officials deployed to the axis in order to minimise discomfort during this closure.
