Three Lebanese soldiers have been killed in an Israeli air strike on an army base in the southern town of Sarafand. The Lebanese military confirmed the attack in a social media post late Tuesday, describing it as an assault by “the Israeli enemy” on an army facility in the area.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reported that the strike injured 17 civilians living near the army base. Earlier, the ministry revealed that Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours had claimed 28 lives and left 107 people wounded.

Since the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel began in October 2023, the death toll in Lebanon has risen to 3,544, with more than 15,000 injured.

According to the Associated Press, 38 Lebanese soldiers had been killed in Israeli strikes before the Sarafand attack. With the latest casualties, the total number of Lebanese military fatalities now stands at 41.
