The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has urged citizens to channel their concerns through elected representatives, saying the legislative process remains the primary avenue for resolving national issues.
Speaking at the resumption of Senate plenary today, Akpabio said while social media can highlight public concerns, the National Assembly provides a platform for practical solutions through lawmaking and policy engagement.
He also reminded lawmakers that the national budget remains a key matter before the chamber, describing it as a critical instrument that defines government priorities and how public resources will be deployed.

Akpabio expressed confidence that Senate committees would ensure the budget reflects the needs of Nigerians, including farmers, traders, students and workers, while calling on senators to perform their duties with seriousness, dignity and patriotism.
