Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, announced that local airlines have committed to purchasing jet fuel exclusively from Dangote Petroleum Refinery. 

The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have collectively decided to end their dependence on imported jet fuel in a move aimed at boosting domestic production.

In January, the Dangote Refinery began producing diesel and aviation fuel. Five months after receiving its sixth one million barrels of crude, the refinery exported its first batch of jet fuel to Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
