Salihu AbdulHadi Kankia, a member of the First Aid Group of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah, JIBWIS, has been rewarded for returning a lost bag containing over N100 million.
JIBWIS honoured him with an award and the sponsorship of his Hajj pilgrimage this year. Honourable Abdulmalik Zannan Bangudu, a member of the Zamfara State Assembly, has also gifted him two million naira.
Additionally, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State presented him with a bus to assist him in kick starting a business venture.

The gifts and recognition came during the closing ceremony for Islamic scholars presenting this year’s Ramadan Tafsir in Bauchi.
The Bauchi State branch of JIBWIS says Salihu Kankia found a bag containing a large sum of money, exceeding one hundred million naira, which he promptly took to the police station. The owner of the money was successfully located and his property, after verification that nothing was missing, was returned to him.
