President Bola Tinubu has appointed Malam Mele Kyari as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
In a statement announcing the news yesterday, the Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said the appointment takes effect from Friday, December 1, 2023.
He added that the president also appointed the management team of the corporation, with Chief Pius Akinyelure as Non-Executive Board Chairman.

Other members of the team are Alhaji Umar Isa Ajiya as Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Ledum Mitee, Mr. Musa Tumsa, Mr. Ghali Muhammad and Professor Mustapha Aliyu as Non-Executive Directors.
Mr. David Ogbodo and Ms. Eunice Thomas make up the other two Non-Executive Directors.
