‘My Wife Helped My Colleagues As A Judge’ – Senator Bulkachuwa

Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, representing Bauchi north District, says his wife, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, a former president of the Court of Appeal, used her position as a judge to help his colleagues.

The Senator made the comment while delivering his speech during the Senate Valedictory Session.

Justice Bulkachuwa was the first female president of the appeal court. She presided over the 2007 Sokoto state governorship election petition tribunal and the suit in which Timipre Sylva, a former governor of Bayelsa State, challenged the nomination of Seriake Dickson, another ex-governor of the state, as the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Bulkachuwa was interrupted by the former President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who said he thought Senator Bulkachuwa’s comment was not a good idea.
