The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has given reasons for the delay in registration of products.
The Director-General of the agency, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, in an interview on Channels TV on yesterday highlighted the shift from manual to digital registration as a major reason for the delay.

She also pointed out that the agency does not have enough staff for its operations as it only has 2,000 staff for Nigeria’s 200 million population.
On the adequacy of staff, Adeyeye said despite struggling with manpower shortage the agency was doing well.
