The National Sports Commission (NSC) has postponed the 22nd National Sports Festival, initially scheduled for January 2025, to May 16-30, 2025. The festival, tagged ‘2024 Gateway Games,’ will still be hosted in Ogun State.
According to a statement released on Friday, the NSC said the decision followed recommendations from the joint technical committee meeting held on Thursday. The postponement aims to align with the country’s new sports development strategy and allow more time for implementation.
