The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it is working with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency to uncover the cartel behind a ₦338 billion cocaine shipment intercepted in Lagos. The Agency confirmed that one thousand kilograms of the drug were found at the Tincan Island Port over the weekend.
According to an NDLEA statement on Tuesday, the cocaine was discovered in an empty container at the PTML Terminal after terminal operators alerted security agencies. Following a joint examination, the consignment was handed over to the NDLEA after tests confirmed the substance to be cocaine.

He said the cooperation aims to ensure that “no stone is left unturned” in tracing and prosecuting all those involved, both within and outside Nigeria.
The NDLEA described the seizure as one of the largest in recent years and reaffirmed its commitment to working with global partners to dismantle transnational drug trafficking networks operating through Nigerian ports.
