The Nigeria Football Federation says the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne will host the first leg of the Falconets’ final qualifying match for the 2026 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup against Malawi. The confirmation follows earlier confusion over the venue, with Malawi initially informed the game would take place in Abeokuta.
The NFF says it secured approval from the Confederation of African Football on Thursday night to stage the match in Ikenne. The first leg will be played on Saturday at 4pm local time.

The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at the Bingu National Stadium in Malawi. The winner over the two legs will qualify for the 2026 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
