Nigerian Army Gives Reasons Why It Shut Banex Plaza

The Nigerian Army has opened up on why it shut down Banex Plaza in Abuja.

The plaza has been under lock and key since hoodlums attacked some soldiers in uniform on Saturday.

Soldiers stormed the plaza in vans and laid siege to the place, despite normalcy being restored by the police 

In a statement on Tuesday, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Army spokesman, said the plaza was temporarily shut in order to facilitate the identification and apprehension of the perpetrators behind the attack on the soldiers.
