The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) says it has no plans to embark on a strike over the withdrawal of fuel subsidy.
Mr. Benson Upah, NLC Head of Information and Public Affairs, says claims that the union will go on strike from June 2 did not emanate from the congress.
He notes that organised labour is outraged by what he calls a mindless price increase intended to bring untold hardship to Nigerians.

Mr Upah says the only plans slated for June 2 are organ meetings to deliberate on the price issue.
The NLC Spokesman assures that the Congress will keep Nigerians informed on its next line of action after its meetings.
