The Nigerian Railway Corporation has expanded train services on the Abuja–Kaduna corridor, with a revised timetable taking effect from Friday, March 6, 2026, in response to rising passenger demand between the Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna State.
In a statement signed by its Chief Public Relations Officer, Callistus Unyimadu, the corporation said the new schedule is designed to provide more travel options and improve service delivery on the route.
Under the timetable, two services will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing Idu at 8.45 am and returning from Rigasa at 2:30 pm, while Fridays and Sundays will have three trips leaving Idu at 7:45 am and 3:15 pm, and Rigasa at 11:30 am. On Saturdays and Mondays, three services will operate, departing Rigasa at 7.15 am and 3:00 pm, and Idu at 11:00 am, with all trains stopping at Kubwa.
