The Nigeria Women Football League has fined Osun Babes Football Club ₦2.5 million and deducted three points after their match against FC Robo Queens in Lagos was not played. The fixture, scheduled for Wednesday at Onikan Stadium, was cancelled because Osun Babes failed to provide an alternative kit despite a confirmed colour clash with the home team.
League officials awarded a walkover to FC Robo Queens in line with competition rules. NWFL Media Director Samuel Ahmadu said Osun Babes breached Articles 10.3, 10.5 and 14.7 of the league’s regulations, which cover kit compliance and fixture obligations.
The sanctions include ₦1 million for the jersey violation and ₦1.5 million for failing to honour the match. NWFL Chief Operating Officer Modupe Shabi emphasised that all clubs must fully comply with league regulations to maintain professionalism and integrity.
