Ondo APC Ward Suspends Jimoh Ibrahim Over ‘Anti-Party Activities’

The All Progressives Congress, APC, ward executives in Igbotako ward II in Okitipupa LGA of Ondo state have suspended Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, the senator representing Ondo south district.

A notice on Wednesday signed by Bakere Usuf, Tore Obwoselu, Oloyinmi Idowu, and seven other party executives in the ward noted that the senator was suspended for alleged anti-party activities.

His suspension followed days after he called the party’s governorship primary election in the state a “mega fraud”.

In April, Senator Ibrahim contested the APC governorship primary election in Ondo but lost to Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the incumbent governor, an outcome he is currently challenging in court.

However, in a statement declaring support for the senator, another faction comprising Adetokunbo Omotola, ward chairman, and 26 other APC officials, said they were shocked at how Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State, handled the primary election.
